Duke, is the most talented and down to earth guy I know. He truly has a gift which he never takes for granted. I absolutely love watching him perform on stage. He plays his heart out each and every time. He’s a wonderful person inside and out. Duke, you are gonna do great things. I’m so proud of you.

Duke is one of the most soulful guitar players you’ll ever hear and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. He is a Soul man with a country heart. From quartet gospel to hard rock. He is quite literally “The Duke” of modern guitar playing.

Roderick Robinson, best known as Duke The Guitarist, is an accomplished guitarist/bassist and music director for MAMA Inc. and Kirk Jay Music.
Duke was given his first opportunity to perform professionally at the age of 14, becoming the bass player for The J.D. Gospel Singers of Uriah, AL.
Duke started his full time music career with Bay Minette native Kirk Jay. The band won several local band competitions and became very popular throughout Alabama, Florida and Georgia. He gained mainstream recognition as a guitarist after performing along side Kirk Jay for an initial audition for NBC's The Voice, where he received a standing ovation as a guitarist for a program focused solely on vocalists.

In 2019, Duke received his first endorsement deal with Southern Sound Outfitters.  Later that year, he co-founded the multi genre band Falsely Motivated.

Duke has graced the stage with artists such as NBC’s The Voice Kirk Jay and MaKenzie Thomas, Alabama Music Award nominees/recipients Destiny Turner, Jeremy Flyy and Lady K, as well as major acts including the legendary country band ALABAMA and legendary R&B/soul singer Freddie Jackson .
